Summary:
Mediabarn is a rapidly growing small business in Reston, Virginia focusing on staffing solutions for the web/software design and development industries. We are currently searching for an experienced Recruiter/Account Manager to support our Placement Services division. Among the personnel this position will recruit for are: Web and UI Designers, Flash Designers and Developers, Project and Product Managers, Account Managers, Web Developers, Software Developers and Engineers, Database Administrators, IT Business Analysts, and Help Desk Support staff.
Duties:
The following are daily recruiting processes and duties for this position:
- Conducts meetings with hiring managers to understand job requirements.
- Works with hiring managers and candidates to set expectations with regard to timelines, process, and roles/responsibilities.
- Sources for contract, part-time, or full-time job types using multiple sourcing and networking avenues, including job boards, job fairs and exhibitions, and networking events.
- Presents hiring managers with a qualified, interested and available selection of candidates.
- Provide candidates and clients regular status updates throughout the application and placement process.
- Meet, in person, each candidate that has been selected by the hiring manager for an interview.
- Keeps current record of client and candidate interaction in internal database and tracking tools.
- Sends follow up communications to all candidates with regard to hiring manager's decision.
The following are daily general duties for this position:
- Maintains relationships with existing mediabarn clients and candidates through open and frequent communication.
- Seeks out and develops relationships with new clients.
- Collaborates with Director of Placement Services to set clear performance expectations and goals.
Requirements:
- College degree required and/or a minimum of 3-5 years recruiting experience with creative and technical related disciplines.
- Comfortable in executing the entire recruitment process, from sourcing to candidate processing to account management.
- Ability to use various creative sourcing techniques to identify candidates.
- Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Proficiency in using various creative sourcing methods (Online, Networking etc.).
- Must be extremely detail oriented and have excellent organization skills.
- Must have strong communication skills
- Strong creative and technical recruiting knowledge, preferably heavily networked in creative and/or technical recruiting industry local to DC Metro area.

Sr. User Experience Architect
A leader in developing leading online technology has an immediate need for a permanent sr. user experience architect. We're truly seeking an expert in the industry. Someone who has played a leadership role working for fortune 500 clients, has lead usability teams, involved in presenting ideas and directions to external clients and is also hands on in making those ideas come to life.
Duties:
- Will create navigation maps, wire frames, functional specs and design requirement documents in addition to producing compelling design media for interactive web sites and applications.
- Responsible for the user interface design and architecture of entire online enterprise portals and functionality specifications for tools and features.
- Will lead a small team to cultivate and develop ideas for prototypes on cutting edge web properties for a consumer market base.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of tools, specifically: Visio, Illustrator, CS2 and HTML.

Please note: We are in search of a true Interface Architect. This visionary will shape the overall look, feel and foundation of fortune 500 websites or applications from the consumer's perspective. They will then work with teams of designers and developers to see their ideas through to fruition.

Interactive Art Director
We are currently seeking a full-time Interactive Art Director. This is your chance to work on some amazing high-end consumer facing websites and online products. Minimum 5 years of directly related interface design experience including flash required. Salary is very competitive with excellent benefits!

Technical Project Manager
Summary:
Mediabarn is seeking a Technical Project Manager to direct and lead our remarkable online products for our clients. This is preferably a permanent position located at our offices in Reston, Va. This position will be responsible for leading the efforts on our more technically oriented development projects for a wide variety of clients. At least 5 years of online and technical experience is required.
Our ideal candidate possesses:
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a rapid development environment.
- Estimates costs and timelines and assists in preparing proposals and statement of work contracts.
- Develops and manages project plans, business and functional requirements and budgets.
- Identifies and schedules appropriate resources to complete assigned project.
- Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of a project as well as the scope.
- Identifies and resolves deviations in project planning to deliver projects as planned.

Sr. Front-end Web Developer
We're searching for a talented, multi-faceted technology luminary to lead our efforts with online and interactive application development. Responsible for the information architecture of online content areas and functionality specifications for tools and features. UI designers create navigation maps, functional specifications and design requirement documents in addition to producing compelling design media for interactive web applications, including graphic elements and overall look and feel. Will work in a team environment to flesh out the UI design and to make a difference to the product.
Experience Requirements:
User center design experience, knowledge of human factors and user interface concepts; successful track record in the implementation of user interface models' excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Software Skill Requirements:
Knowledge of tools, specifically: Visio, MS Word, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, HTML, Java, Macromedia Director are preferred. Web Designer

Mediabarn Placement Services, has been engaged by a large, multinational media company to assist in placing Web Designers for onsite contracting assignments for various lengths of time.
Responsibilities:
Designer will work within a larger creative studio under the direction of an Art Director or another Senior Designer. Designer will work with an assigned internal client to create and design visual treatments that meet client specifications. Designer will design and execute graphical interface treatments for on-line multimedia software products. Designer will design screen treatments, navigation and structure of interactive multimedia projects. Designer will serve as a member of a project team to define and meet established deadlines and milestones and may be called upon to provide creative direction and technical design leadership to the members of the project team. Designer will also identify, address and solve technical problems as they relate to interface, screen design and/or the web.
Experience Requirements:
Uses knowledge associated with Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 4 years directly related experience including screen art and interface design. Possesses strong screen design skills including execution of clean, tight screen designs.
Possesses a thorough understanding of interface design. Previous computer design experience. Must be able to design under parameters of applicable publishing. Possesses knowledge of a broad range of tools, work procedures and in-depth knowledge of the on-line industry.
